Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in awe-filled worship:

“…the day of the LORD is coming. It is close at hand — a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness.”
(Joel 2:1-2)

The people of my age don’t want to hear this, Jesus. It’s just not politically correct.

The only god they’re interested in is a santa claus –
a god who gives gifts to all alike and wouldn’t harm a flea.

My guess is…

this day of coming doom wasn’t exactly well-received in Joel’s day, either.

Most people want a god on their terms – one who behaves the way they want him to.

But that’s no god.
That’s a puppet.

And that’s definitely not You.
