Lazaroo – Friday, November 13, 2009
Nov 13, 2009 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, from the depths of your soul:
“What is Judah’s high place? Is it not Jerusalem?”
(Micah 1:5)
I have to admit it, Jesus –
these two questions of Micah’s are pretty hard to understand.
Yes, Your people love Jerusalem…
but why wouldn’t they?
You do!
It was You who chose Jerusalem – the city where
Your servant David reigned
You chose to put Your Name forever
You placed Your ark of the Covenant
You were crucified to pay for my sins
Your Church was born
Your people were scattered
Your people will be restored.
One day living water will flow.
But for all that
You will not tolerate it when we turn one of Your blessings
into a god.
Am I making a “high place” out of any of the gifts You have given me?
If so, please show me so I can quickly bring it low
before You have to do it for me.
