Lazaroo – Saturday, March 20, 2010
Mar 20, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with honesty…and humility:
“Say of your brothers, ‘My people,’ and of your sisters, ‘My loved one.’”
(Hosea 2:1)
I know this is the way it should be, Jesus.
It’s only right that I should feel this kind of affection for my brothers and sisters.
But sometimes it’s tough.
Maybe that’s because
I expect way too much of them
we’re so close that we can see more of each other’s faults.
But this isn’t just a challenge for natural siblings.
It extends to my Christian brothers and sisters, too.
I’m going to come right out and say it, LORD:
Some of these people who call themselves Christians
upset me more than any heathen I know.
Why is that?
Why do people who claim to know and follow You and have You living within
fall so far short of Your standards?
Oh.
Maybe right now they’re asking You the same thing
about me.
