Lazaroo – Monday, March 29, 2010
Mar 29, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with unashamed longing:
“I called for a drought on the fields and the mountains, on the grain, the new wine, the oil and whatever the ground produces, on men and cattle, and on the labor of your hands.”
(Haggai 1:11)
There are a lot of things I don’t understand, Jesus.
But I know drought.
I’ve been through long periods of time without
living water.
During those times I’ve learned firsthand what it means to be spiritually dry
thirsty for Your Word
thirsty for closeness
thirsty for You
but somehow unable to connect.
Sometimes it was a habit I was unwilling to let go of.
Sometimes it was a person
somebody I had to have at all costs
somebody whose approval
help
friendship
companionship
meant more to me than You
only to discover when I got what I thought I wanted
I had nothing.
Please.
No more drought.
All I need
is You.
