Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with white-hot fervor:

“They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.”
(Acts 1:10)

I love it, Jesus –

two angels show up in human form –
a sight so awesome that some people have collapsed in fear –

but this time angels are treated as an afterthought
because everyone is so intently focused

on You.

That’s the way it ought to be
the way I want it to be in my life –

no matter what else is going on in heaven or on earth
no matter what people are doing or who’s doing it
no matter who’s talking or what they’re saying

help my focus remain absolutely intent

on You.

Please forgive me for all the times when I’ve become distracted!

And please, Holy Spirit –

when it happens again
rise up within me and bring all my attention back

to You.
