Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud all the way to the marrow of your bones:

“…make every effort to add to your faith…godliness …”
(2 Peter 1:5-6)

This isn’t going to happen automatically, is it, Jesus?

I’ve got to train myself to be godly…

Sounds like work.

But You’ve told me it’s worth it:

It positively impacts everything I think, say or do here on earth

not to mention throughout eternity.

By the way…

what is godliness?

Oh, yeah –

it’s being like You.

Now, there’s a fairly tall order.

Make that impossible.

Obviously, if I’m going to be like You

I’m going to need a ton of Your help to do it.

I’ve got to immerse myself in Your Word, don’t I?

Something tells me godliness is a byproduct of knowledge
not ignorance.

In fact, You’ve already given me everything I need to be godly.

So what am I waiting for?

Maybe the same thing You are:

my decision to go for it.
