Lazaroo – Tuesday, April 10, 2012
Apr 10, 2012 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with total trust in your Commander-in-Chief:
“The Levites, however, were not counted along with the other Israelites, as the LORD commanded Moses.
(Numbers 2:33)
That had to sting, Jesus.
The Levites may have felt left out:
“Why am I not being counted?
Don’t I matter?
Why am I not being treated like everybody else?”
until they understood the purpose for the census:
Every male over twenty years of age…
was to serve in the army.
The Levites were being exempted from military service!
They were needed to take care of the Tabernacle.
That’s why they were excluded from the count.
Of course, this may have created a reaction from the others!
“Oh, so it’s okay for me to risk my life in battle?
Why am I expendable…and the Levites are not?”
May I never second-guess You, Father!
May I wholeheartedly embrace
my purpose
assignment
calling.
Please help me be willing to be counted…
or not.
