Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with deepened desire to mature:

“So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have.”
(2 Peter 1:12)

It’s one thing to know the truth about You, Jesus…

quite another thing to be firmly established in it.

I know the truth that You’re all-powerful…

but it’s another thing entirely
to not receive the big thing I asked You for

and be totally at peace

because I’m firmly established in that truth.

It’s one thing to know the truth that You’re compassionate and loving…

it’s another thing entirely to watch in horror
the mass murder of innocent children

with unshakable trust

because I’m firmly established in that truth.

I know the truth that You are my Savior…

but it’s another thing entirely to be on my death bed

totally at peace

because I’m firmly established in that truth.
