I needed that reminder, Jesus.

When Your good news is truly preached

it’s You, Holy Spirit.

I can’t see You.
I can’t hear You.
I can’t touch You.

but You live in me.

So when somebody full of You
preaches Your Word to my attentive ear

it resonates with You
who reside in me.

You’re on the front end…and on the receiving end.

Simultaneously.

You initiate the message

then make sure I understand it.

But when a false prophet speaks

or when a well-meaning

preacher
teacher
writer
singer

mishandles Your Word…

You rise up within me and give me Your clear warning:

“Huh-uh.”
