It’s easy to draw the wrong conclusion, isn’t it, Jesus?

When You’ve enabled me to win a few battles
I might start thinking I’m a pretty fair warrior.

I might fool myself into believing I’m a natural soldier
not realizing it’s You who fight and win my battles.

Every time I face another fight

please help me remember to check with You, first!

The last thing I want to do
is face any opponent
on my own.
