Lazaroo – Monday, February 2, 2015

Look up, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD…”
(Isaiah 2:3)
It is up, isn’t it, Jesus –
Your mountain.
“Up” meaning…
the opposite of down.
When I choose Your way, things get better.
Relationships improve –
well, the right ones do
eventually.
The air’s cleaner up here
I can see more clearly…farther.
But “Up” also meaning…
it’s a climb – fighting the downward pull of my old nature.
Nothing easy about that epic battle.
Even when I win
it doesn’t stay won.
I have to fight it again and again and again
uphill all the way.
Even so, “Up”
is the only way to go.
