take my time
smell the roses.

But sometimes I’ve got to

hurry
step on it
vamoose
giddyup
run!

How many times have I hurried when I didn’t have to?

Please spare me from false emergencies!

How many times have I dawdled when I should have sped up?

Please light a fire under me when I need it!

I wonder…

how much of success in life depends

on knowing when to do the one
rather than the other?
