Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with Spirit-led caution:

“’As you know,’ he said, ‘the kingdom was mine.’”
(1 Kings 2:15)

What a liar, Jesus!

The kingdom of Israel never belonged to Adonijah.

When King David grew old and sick
he tried to seize it without his father’s knowledge.

For a short while, it looked like he might pull it off –
but he never did.

That’s a favorite ploy of liars, isn’t it, Father?

The half-truth

disguised with the phrase, “As you know…”

crediting the listener with knowledge
they’re unwilling to admit they don’t possess.

O Holy Spirit!

When one of these liars tries to pull that stunt on me
