Lazaroo – Sunday, August 24, 2014

“Wait on the LORD…as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“Let me go to the fields and pick up the leftover grain…”
(Ruth 2:2)
So humble, Jesus…
Ruth didn’t ask for the whole field
didn’t ask for heaping basketfuls of the choicest grain
all she wanted was the leftovers.
I know You’ve told me I don’t have because I don’t ask.
I know You like God-size prayers.
But You also reward the humble
the people who don’t think of themselves too highly.
Ruth asked for such a small thing
but I love that when she married Boaz
unassuming Ruth
became co-owner of the whole field.
