Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with over-the-top trust:

“He chose the lowly things of this world…”
(1 Corinthians 1:28)

Those eight words thrill me, Jesus.

They shout the incredible news:

I’m eligible!

I know what I am.
Who I am.

Lowly.
That pretty much says it.

But it’s the lowly You call to Yourself –
Into Your service!

You love to take us in all our inadequacy
our shortcomings, failures, blunderings
glaring faults, addictions, hang-ups

and blow the minds of the high and mighty
the smart, rich and famous

until they, too realize
that they are among

the lowly.
