Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with an open heart and a listening ear:
“Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language?”
(Acts 2:8)
Oh, what a miracle You performed on the Day of Pentecost, Jesus!
Some say that miracle happened only once.
I believe You work that miracle still today:
every time a preacher faithfully proclaims Your Word
…and anyone present truly hears from You.
It’s not the eloquence or giftedness of the preacher.
It’s You, Holy Spirit!
working Your miraculous, transforming miracle of translation
in the open, yearning heart of the true seeker.
