Lazaroo – Sunday, November 17, 2013
No comments, Nov 17, 2013
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in sober reflection:
“Then I looked up—and there before me was a man with a measuring line in his hand!”
(Zechariah 2:1)
Am I ready to be measured, Jesus?
No.
Not yet.
In fact, I’d like a lot longer to get ready
before a man shows up to measure me.
I’ll be going along pretty well…
and then something ugly bursts out of me
something unworthy of You.
I hate it when that happens.
Why does it?
Maybe it’s to remind me of how far I’ve come from the person I used to be
and how much farther I have yet to go.
