Lazaroo – Friday, November 1, 2013
No comments, Nov 01, 2013
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in deep reverence:
“The Lord has rejected all the warriors in my midst…”
(Lamentations 1:15)
Sometimes that has to happen, doesn’t it, Jesus?
I get to depending too strongly on the people around me.
I start thinking my safety is in numbers
in the expertise of someone I’ve come to rely on.
That’s dangerous
because it’s wrong.
Sometimes I have to be reminded:
I have no one but You.
That doesn’t mean the people around me aren’t wonderful.
It’s just that they have one fatal flaw:
They’re people.
And what I need more than anything else
every moment of my life
is You.
My God.
