Lazaroo – Thursday, October 24, 2013
No comments, Oct 24, 2013
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in the fear of God:
“I became greater by far than anyone in Jerusalem before me.”
(Ecclesiastes 2:9)
Well, there’s a huge red flag waving in a stiff breeze, Jesus.
The moment someone concludes he’s greater than anyone else
he’s not.
He’s just moved to the back of the line.
Greatness flows from humility, not pride.
You warn me not to compare myself with anyone else.
There’s a very good reason for that:
I might become cocky.
Conversely, I might become discouraged.
But worst of all, I might forget that everything I am or have
comes from You
and that the same God who gave it can take it away
in one beat of my heart.
