Lazaroo – Wednesday, October 23, 2013
No comments, Oct 23, 2013
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with pedal-to-the-metal commitment:
“…man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.”
(James 1:20)
You don’t tell me I can’t be angry, Jesus.
You just tell me not to be angry
my way.
So what’s wrong with my anger?
Well…it’s ignorant, isn’t it?
I never know the whole story.
It’s hasty, too.
I’m so eager to nail the person who hurt me
instead of giving them
the same chance to turn it around
You’ve given me
again and again and again.
I could go on, but I’m starting to get the idea.
Maybe I’d be better off to spend less time being angry
and more time learning to love.
