Lazaroo – Sunday, August 18, 2013
No comments, Aug 18, 2013
Take a long look in the mirror as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“Everyone should be…slow to become angry…”
(James 1:19)
I’m certainly not arguing with You, Jesus.
This is who I long to be:
Slow to anger.
Real slow.
But just when I think I’ve mastered it
I blow it.
Fast and hot.
Zero to 60 in a heartbeat.
I think I’m starting to figure it out, though:
The less something matters to me
the more laid back I am.
The more an issue matters to me
the faster I get angry.
Pathetic.
That’s not controlling my anger at all, is it?
Help me lean hard on You
next time something I really care about
goes south.
