Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with openhearted wonder:

“He who is the glory of Israel will come to Adullam.”
(Micah 1:15)

You love to show up in unlikely places, Jesus –

the region of Adullam being a case in point.

You showed up there through Joshua

conquering this kingdom in the foothills on the west side of the Jordan.

Long before that, You showed up there and created a cave

knowing the day would come when David would need it

to hide from Saul
to provide a place of safety for his family.

Knowing he needed help, You showed up again

sent 400 men to join him there
men willing to follow him and fight.

It was during harvest time that You showed up in Adullam again

when three of his mighty men risked their lives
to bring him a drink of water.

I’m just as unlikely a place as Adullam, Father…
so please:

Show up!
