Lazaroo – Wednesday, May 1, 2013

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud to God:
“At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps and punish those who are complacent, who are like wine left on its dregs…”
(Zephaniah 1:12)
Wow.
This explains so much, Jesus!
During the aging process, the winemaker cannot allow the wine to sit for too long on the strong, bitter sediment that settles to the bottom – the fine residue from the skin, seeds and stems left over from the grape-pressing process.
If the wine sits too long on its dregs, it becomes bitter.
So will I.
So that’s why You keep pouring me out!
No sooner do I get settled
moved in
adjusted
all comfy
than You pour me into a different container
one I’m not used to
out of my comfort zone
separating me from the familiar
to keep me from becoming complacent
turning bitter
to everyone who takes a taste.
