Lazaroo – Friday, April 5, 2013

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with no-holds-barred surrender:
“How long will you love delusions and seek false gods?”
(Psalms 4:2)
I’m not seeking false gods, Jesus!
At least, if I am…I don’t know it.
I believe there’s one God, eternally existent as Father, Son and Holy Spirit
and You’re it.
So if in any way, shape or form I’m seeking false gods, show me!
I’ll forsake them in an instant.
Is it possible for me to be blind to my idol worship?
That’s a scary thought.
You smash idols
with those who worship them.
You put to shame
every single person who worships an idol.
Guess I’d better take inventory:
Is there anything I’m willing to disobey You
to achieve?
possess?
experience?
Is there anyone I’d rather keep happy or have for my own
more than You?
If so, that’s an idol, isn’t it?
Better bump it back a notch behind You
or get rid of it.
