Lazaroo – Sunday, March 31, 2013
No comments, Mar 31, 2013
Pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo, in humble obedience:
“What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.”
(2 Timothy 1:13)
It’s one thing to get my doctrine right, Jesus –
to do my Bible homework
build a theology that makes sense to me.
It’s another thing entirely to fearlessly proclaim what I believe
without disrespecting those who disagree with me.
I’m not referring to those who brazenly depart from Your Word
choosing to ignore the clear teaching of Scripture
bowing to the political correctness of ungodly culture.
Against such people I have no choice:
I must stand with You in bold rebuke.
But what about those whose devotion to You and Your Word is as uncompromising as mine –
whose study leads them to a Biblically warranted theology
that differs from my own?
So long as it does not violate Your bedrock essentials
please help me walk softly.
