Lazaroo – Thursday, March 21, 2013
No comments, Mar 21, 2013
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with razor-sharpened attention:
“I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body…”
(Philippians 1:20)
Are You kidding me, Jesus?
When did You sneak this verse in there? 😉
Okay, okay, I know –
it was there all along.
Still, I have to admit I’ve never heard a sermon preached on this verse as it affects…
my body.
Maybe I heard it
and just didn’t pay attention.
Wouldn’t be the first time.
But there it is, unavoidably explicit:
What I do with my body matters to You.
You make it clear that it’s possible for me to be ashamed by what I do with my body.
But it’s also clear…
that with Your supernatural courage coursing through me
it’s actually possible for me to be
in no way ashamed.
Got it.
