Lazaroo – Thursday, February 28, 2013
No comments, Feb 28, 2013
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in simple humility:
“The LORD God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.’”
(Genesis 2:18)
No, it isn’t good for me to be alone, Jesus…
although sometimes I want to be.
Basically…people are a lot of trouble.
You may have noticed that.
Still, I admit it: I need a helper.
Adam needed a wife and You gave her to him –
straight out of his own body.
The first woman came out of man.
Every man since has come out of woman.
But I know not every helper is a spouse.
Sometimes the “suitable” spouse hasn’t shown up, yet.
Sometimes spouses become incapacitated…or die.
Besides, You haven’t called every person to be married.
For some people, spouses are more of a hindrance than a help.
What then?
I will turn to the one helper I can always count on:
You.
