Lazaroo – Tuesday, February 26, 2013
No comments, Feb 26, 2013
Marvel in wonder, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the LORD will again comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem.’”
(Zechariah 1:17)
Oh, the honor of being chosen, Jesus!
And I have been.
Not because I deserve it…
but because You willed it.
You wanted me.
Me!
Of all people, me!
That blows me away.
I can’t comprehend it.
I know what I am.
I know my shortcomings all too well.
You know them even better.
And still You chose me!
What can I say to that, Father?!
How can I thank You enough?
But there’s more.
The people of Jerusalem sinned against You.
They forced You to punish them
to get their attention
turn them around.
There is coming a day when they will finally acknowledge Your Lordship.
On that day, they will be twice chosen.
For similar reasons
I think I can identify.
