Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, from the depths of your soul:

“From you, O Nineveh, has one come forth who plots evil against the LORD and counsels wickedness.”
(Nahum 1:11)

It’s bad enough to do evil, Jesus.
It’s even worse to plan it in advance.

But to counsel others to do evil?!
To corrupt and pervert men, women and young people?

That’s the worst.

That’s spreading the gangrene

turning other people against You
multiplying deeds of evil many times over.

It’s happening all around me, Father!

when I turn on my television
when I surf online
when I go to the mall or the movies

in our educational institutions
in our government

even in my relationships.

I’m aware of quite a bit of it, LORD…

but I have to wonder how much of it I’m missing.
What’s slipping by me?

into my mind
affecting my thought processes
subtly influencing my behavior.

Open my eyes, Holy Spirit!

Open my eyes.
