Lazaroo – Thursday, February 21, 2013
No comments, Feb 21, 2013
Be willing to rethink your relationships, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“The town of Aczib will prove deceptive to the kings of Israel.”
(Micah 1:14)
How could such a tiny, insignificant town affect the kings of Israel, Jesus?
You gave this small city on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to the tribe of Asher, when Joshua parceled out the land.
You commanded them to “completely destroy” everyone in that city – not to leave alive “anything that breathes.”
But they disobeyed.
I don’t know how hard or how long they tried…
but they were unable to dislodge the people living there.
So they looked at each other, shrugged…
and moved in alongside them.
Not only did they influence the citizens of Aczib…
but the idol-worshiping citizens of Aczib influenced them –
the very thing God warned would happen.
So the kings of Israel couldn’t count on that town –
anymore than I can be counted on
when my wrong friends compromise me.
