Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in deepest awe:

“I am the First and the Last.”
(Revelation 1:17)

That pretty much sums it up, Jesus:

That’s Who You Are.

Wow.

Obviously…I can’t relate.

I had a beginning – not so long ago.
You are without beginning – before ages past.

Everything has to come from something –
all the way back to the First Cause:

You.

As if that weren’t enough, You’re also the Last.

We can all do or say whatever we like.
But You get the last word.

You also get the last action.

Evil people who think they got away with it
have another “think” coming.

Of course, it makes total sense that the Being who created the heavens and the earth

is the First and the Last.

The real shocker is that the One

so great
so mighty
all-knowing
all-powerful
utterly holy

would stoop not only to spend –

but thoroughly enjoy –

this 1on1 time with me.
