Lazaroo – Thursday, January 17, 2013

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with the perspective that comes only from God’s Word:
“…they occupied the land until the exile.”
(1 Chronicles 5:22)
What an eye-opener, Jesus.
“We won the battle! Now we rule the land!”
Right.
Until their sin causes them to be evicted from the land they won.
What we do doesn’t tend to stay done, does it?
This year’s winner is next year’s loser.
Today’s hero is tomorrow’s goat.
Of course, there’s an upside to that.
If I’m this year’s loser
who’s to say I can’t be next year’s winner?
If I’m today’s goat
who’s to say I can’t be tomorrow’s hero?
Well…You.
What You say
goes.
Certainly, what I do matters.
You tend to help those who help themselves.
You’re not in the habit of giving lazy people a boost.
But if I buy into the popular belief:
“If it’s to be
it’s up to me”
I’m only fooling myself.
You alone…
have the final word.
