Lazaroo – Monday, November 26, 2012
No comments, Nov 26, 2012
Reach into the depths of your soul as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“…if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding…”
(Proverbs 2:3)
That’s a big, “if,” Jesus.
Sure, I’d like to gain insight
have a little more understanding.
But the question is:
How badly do I want it?
How desperate am I?
Enough to make some noise?
Enough to throw caution to the winds and call out?
Enough to ignore what others think and (gasp)
“cry aloud” for it?
Ultimately, this isn’t about doing research at the library.
It isn’t about interviewing experts.
It isn’t about surfing the Net –
though at some point I may do all those things.
This is about recognizing who has all the insight
who passes out all the understanding:
You.
If I approach You casually
that’s probably how You’ll respond.
But if I’m at the end of my rope
can’t bear my ignorance any longer
You promise:
You won’t leave me hanging.
