Lazaroo – Saturday, November 10, 2012

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in Spirit-led discernment:
“The company of the prophets from Jericho, who were watching, said, ‘The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha.’”
(2 Kings 2:15)
This is fascinating, Jesus.
By definition, a person’s spirit is invisible.
But it’s absolutely real.
In fact, it may be more real than anything else about them.
So when the spirit of one of Your people rests on another
there’s no mistaking its presence.
You’ve given each of us a unique spirit, haven’t You?
You’ve given mine to me.
Sometimes my spirit is weak, susceptible to temptation
sometimes it’s strong
able to fend off anything Satan dangles under my nose.
Sometimes my spirit is rebellious, disobedient
sometimes it’s sensitive to Your lightest touch
totally surrendered
eager to obey.
Sometimes my spirit is negative, critical, unbelieving
sometimes it’s full of faith.
I wonder…
what would I see
if You caused my spirit to rest on someone else?
