Lazaroo – Saturday, October 27, 2012
No comments, Oct 27, 2012
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in honest self-appraisal:
“But you were unwilling to go up…”
(Deuteronomy 1:26)
What in the world were they thinking, Jesus?
How could they refuse You?
You’re God!
Absurd.
Unthinkable.
I mean – have You ever sent me on a mission –
but I was unwilling to go?
My immediate first response:
“Never!”
If You showed up in this room right now and told me to tackle some task –
I’d do it!
(right after my knees quit shaking
my body quit trembling
and I got up off the floor from passing out.)
But that’s not how You usually deliver Your assignments, is it?
Mostly…it’s through the Bible.
So how am I doing with that?
Have You given me any commands in Scripture that I’m not fully –
– oh well, yeah –
that one…
and that one…
then there’s…
Good grief.
I’ve been meaning to get around to those.
