Lazaroo – Sunday, October 7, 2012
No comments, Oct 07, 2012
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with newfound awareness:
“‘…she decked herself with rings and jewelry, and went after her lovers, but me she forgot,’ declares the LORD.”
(Hosea 2:13)
So that’s how it looks to You, Jesus.
The rings and jewelry we wear
are made of metal and gems mined from your hills
refined in Your invention of fire
designed by craftsmen
You created in Your image
endowed with Your artistic skills.
All our treasures come from Your hand
gifts of love from Your mind, power and heart.
How is it possible for me to forget that?
How blind do I have to be to act like all of this
just happened?
But I do.
God help me, I do.
I’m like a spoiled kid living in the home of a wealthy parent
who takes everything for granted
who doesn’t have a clue how good he’s got it.
Please.
Help me get a clue.
