Lazaroo – Saturday, September 29, 2012
No comments, Sep 29, 2012
Prepare yourself, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“They will fight against you…”
(Jeremiah 1:19)
This is a hard truth, Jesus.
I want everyone to like me.
I enjoy people’s approval.
I don’t like having enemies.
But this sounds like a promise:
If I stand for You
I can be sure there are people
who will stand against me.
That makes sense, of course.
It’s hard to deny the logic.
If they hate You
then the more I
look like You
act like You
think like You
talk like You
live like You
the more they’ll hate me.
I wish I didn’t have to deal with this.
But I have to decide, don’t I?
It’s You
or them.
Emotionally, that’s tough –
especially when they’re
life-long friends
family members.
But the choice is clear:
If I choose You
I lose them.
If I choose them
I lose You.
I’m really going to miss them.
