Lazaroo – Saturday, September 22, 2012

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with indescribable gratitude:
“He chose to give us birth…”
(James 1:18)
That’s the bottom line, isn’t it, Jesus?
You were no bystander at my birth.
Despite my parents’ key role 😉
they aren’t the ones
who deserve the lion’s share of the credit.
You chose me.
I owe my very existence to You.
That’s all the more remarkable
considering that unlike my parents
You knew exactly what You were getting:
all my faults
all my shortcomings
and still I’m here…
because of You.
But that’s not the birth that matters most.
The one that counts is my second birth
changing my destination
from hell to heaven.
You were no bystander at that birth, either.
Despite all the good my spiritual teachers did for me
they aren’t the ones
who deserve the lion’s share of the credit.
You chose me.
I owe my life through the eons of eternity
to You.
