Lazaroo – Tuesday, September 11, 2012
No comments, Sep 11, 2012
Be reminded of the size of Your God as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“The whole company numbered 42,360, besides their 7,337 menservants and maidservants…”
(Ezra 2:64-65)
That’s a lot of menservants and maidservants, Jesus.
Where are mine?
There’s so much I long to do
so many things I long to accomplish
but for most of it
I need help.
A lot of help.
It would be awfully nice to have an unending supply of men and women
ready and eager
to carry out all the tasks
I need to assign –
those with skills, knowledge, experience
I just don’t have
people who’d love doing
what I don’t have time to do
or hate doing
those who could do the things
I’m good at
to give me more time to do the things
I’m best at.
Wishful thinking, huh?
But maybe I don’t really need servants.
Maybe what I need
is to become a passionate
fully functioning member
of a team.
