Lazaroo – Tuesday, September 4, 2012

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with dig-my-heels-in-the-ground faith:
“I know that through your prayers and the help given by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.”
(Philippians 1:19)
I’m happy for Paul, Jesus.
I’m glad he was certain that all the junk of his life
was about to pay off
that somehow, the things that should have ruined him
would end up being the making of him.
I agree:
It’s okay to be 30 points behind in the third quarter
so long as I’m one point ahead at the buzzer.
But I’m not at the final buzzer.
And right now, being thirty points behind
is terrifying.
Help me grab hold of Paul’s assurance, Father!
I’m sick of panicking before the end of my journey.
It’s wearing me out.
Help me find some believers who will pray for me
while I await the deliverance that comes
only from You.
