Lazaroo – Saturday, September 1, 2012
No comments, Sep 01, 2012
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with sold-out determination:
“They formed themselves into a group and took their stand…”
(2 Samuel 2:25)
Sometimes that’s what it takes to stand, Jesus:
a group.
I know.
It’s my responsibility to stand…
even if I have to stand alone.
But that’s harder
and if not absolutely necessary
it’s stupid.
One of the great joys of life is to find people of widely-diverse
talents
personalities
backgrounds
experiences
ages
ethnicities
skills
perspectives
who share the same set of
values
passions
dreams
goals
all of them centered on You
each gleaned from Your Word
who form themselves into a group
whose strengths are
maximized
coordinated
motivated
set free
by a
humble
fiery-eyed
visionary
servant-leader.
Impossible?
Absolutely not.
So when does this ever happen?
More often than I think
less often than it should.
But if I’m not currently in such a group
it’s worth everything it costs me
to find one
or create it.
