Lazaroo – Tuesday, August 14, 2012

Open your eyes and survey your garden as you pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud to God:
“The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”
(Genesis 2:15)
That’s why You’ve put me in my garden, isn’t it, Jesus?
to work it and take care of it.
My garden…
where I live, work and play
where I heal and renew
where I struggle
where You send me
all the people in my life
those I’m with every day
those I see off and on
those I touch rarely…or only once
those I know well
those I know a little
those who are strangers to me
the duties You’ve assigned to me
those I’ve inherited
those given to me by others
those spelled out in the Bible
those required for my personal development
physically
mentally
emotionally
spiritually
those You’ve birthed in my heart.
That’s a lot of work
and an awful lot of care.
