Lazaroo – Sunday, July 29, 2012

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in sold-out surrender:
“The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn.”
(Ezekiel 2:4)
Why would You do that, Jesus?
Why would You send someone to a group of people You knew in advance
would refuse to listen?
It’s not like these were nice people.
You said it Yourself –
their hearts were hard
their minds were set
they weren’t about to budge
even though the message came straight from You.
I know You do all things well.
You know better than I do –
but this feels like a total waste.
It does, that is, if Your only objective
was to get these people to do what You wanted them do.
But that wasn’t Your purpose this time, was it?
You sent Your prophet and told him to write it all down
for me
so I would go to school on their mistakes
and not be obstinate and stubborn.
