Lazaroo – Sunday, July 1, 2012

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with renewed confidence:
“He picked up the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan. Then he took the cloak that had fallen from him and struck the water with it. ‘Where now is the LORD, the God of Elijah?’ he asked.”
(2 Kings 2:13)
I can identify with Elisha, Jesus.
When I read my Bible
I see You work miracles.
When I observe the lives
of some of the great Christians of my day
I see You work miracles.
On the one hand, that encourages me.
I’m reminded that You have the ability to work miracles
and the will to do so.
On the other hand, I feel intimidated.
I can’t measure up to the greats of the Bible
nor the famous Christians of my day.
I don’t deserve for You to work a miracle for me.
Of course…
neither did they.
