Lazaroo – Friday, June 15, 2012
No comments, Jun 15, 2012
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with no-holds-barred surrender:
“So the Israelites did everything the LORD commanded Moses…”
(Numbers 2:34)
I’m the king of doing “most things” You command me to do, Jesus…
but not everything.
That’s not good, is it?
My problem is, “Everything” is a lot.
“Everything” leaves no wiggle room
no opportunity to pick and choose
no grading on the curve.
When I think about it, though…
why wouldn’t I do everything You ask of me?
You have my best interests at heart
You know me better than I know myself
You see the future I can’t see.
You would never ask me to do anything
that wasn’t good for me.
It’s just that I don’t want to do some of the things You ask me to do
Why?
Basically…because I’m selfish, immature, lazy and blind.
Wow.
Maybe I should take another look at doing everything You tell me to do.
