Lazaroo – Monday, June 11, 2012
No comments, Jun 11, 2012
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, filled with hope:
“Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.”
(Exodus 3:2)
Oh, how I need that, Jesus!
I long to be able to give everything I’ve got
without using it all up.
But as soon as I say that
I realize I’m asking for a miracle –
like the one You performed for Moses.
The rule on earth is:
If a bush catches on fire
it burns up.
The rule for human beings is:
If I smash the pedal to the metal
and hold it there long enough
a day is coming when I’ll hit the gas
and absolutely nothing will happen.
I’ll be on empty –
a thousand miles
from the nearest pump.
But the only way to achieve the greatness to which You’ve called me
is to go all out
day after day after day.
I’m on fire, LORD!
Don’t let me burn up.
