Lazaroo – Tuesday, June 5, 2012
No comments, Jun 05, 2012
Open a vein and bleed the words of this Lazaroo aloud to God:
“‘On that day, declares the LORD, ‘a cry will go up from the Fish Gate, wailing from the New Quarter…’”
(Zephaniah 1:10)
Sometimes I get sick to death of all this stuff, Jesus.
I have a nearly overpowering urge to run away
leave it all behind
find a “New Quarter” –
a brand-new mess to wrestle with.
Ha! In reality, that’s all it would be isn’t it?
Swapping one set of problems for another.
Of course, even that can look good at times!
Other people’s problems
seem so small compared to mine.
But down deep, I know better.
The only reason their problems seem more manageable
is because I’m not attempting to manage them.
No, my mess…
is mine.
I’ve got to own it
to know in my heart that You’ve not only assigned it to me
but if I stick with it
it will be the making of me.
