Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with renewed incentive:
“Make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure…you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
(2 Peter 1:5-8, 11)
Wow, Jesus.
That’s a lot.
It’s important for me to remember this is not what it takes to earn my way into heaven.
I can’t work my way there.
It’s by Your grace alone that I’m saved.
But it’s also important for me to remember that if I would like “to receive a rich welcome” when I arrive in heaven
it would be a very good idea
for me to “make every effort”
to build these seven qualities into my everyday life.
