Lazaroo – Sunday, May 13, 2012
No comments, May 13, 2012
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, increasingly filled with wonder:
“…coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights…”
(James 1:17)
All I have to do is step outside on a clear night
away from the crass distraction of city lights
and look up.
Suddenly I’m reminded all over again
who it is I serve
why I so fervently worship.
The sky is filled with stars!
So many, one on top of the other
billions upon billions crammed side-by-side.
Except they’re not.
Most of them are trillions of miles apart.
Which means the majority of my galaxy is made up of things I can’t see.
Dark Matter.
Atomless.
Made up of…
…nobody knows what.
Nobody except You, Jesus – it’s Creator.
One day in heaven You’ll reveal to me its secrets.
But until then
when I start to wonder if my struggles are worth it
All I have to do is step outside on a clear night
and look up.
