Lazaroo – Tuesday, May 8, 2012
No comments, May 08, 2012
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in trial-by-fire faith:
“But stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
(Job 2:5)
That’s what Satan thought of Job.
It didn’t matter how faithful Job had been.
He assumed Job’s behavior was due to Your protection, Jesus –
not to how much Job loved, trusted and revered
the God who protected him.
Oh, Jesus.
Is that what Satan thinks of me?
That so long as You give me reasonably good health I’ll follow You…
but the moment You step aside and allow Satan to attack me physically
I’ll desert You in a heartbeat?
Why would he think that?
It has to be because he’s seen it
over
and over
and over again.
“They’re all like that!” he thinks. “This one is no exception.”
Well…am I?
Do I have the trusting tenacity of Job?
Or am I just like the rest?
